TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.
Once again, for the fifth time TEDxISM is back! Back being powerful and big as never before! This years theme “Question The Expected” will really make you evaluate your choices, beliefs and perceptions. ‘Question the Expected’ is all about looking at the things from the perspective, which makes us question whether the world, as we know it, really is the way we see it. Or is it somehow different? 21st of October is the day when 17 inspiring ideas worth spreading will be shared amongst the audience of 500 people at ISM University of Management and Economics. Great experiences are awaiting, be sure to join us!
About TEDx (x = independently organized TED event)
The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences. At TEDx events, a screening of TED Talks videos — or a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos — sparks deep conversation and connections at the local level. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, under a free license granted by TED
ISM University of Management and Economics is known for its enterpreneurial spirit and results-driven students. Knowledge, ideas, precision and dreams intertwine in this place, so it follows like a common sense that students of this university will always seek for more. TEDxISM is one of many things that fits in the category of ‚more‘. Ideas worth spreading started being shared by our students back in 2012 and are being spread to this day every year, while project is growing bigger and bigger.
